Heineken Chooses CTPark Amsterdam City

December 18, 2024

Amsterdam, 18 December 2024 – CTP has signed a lease agreement with Heineken for its last-mile hub for Heineken tank beer.

Heineken will transport large beer tanks from the brewery to CTPark Amsterdam City, where the product will be transferred to electric trucks with smaller tanks. From here, these electric trucks will handle the last-mile delivery to various customers, including restaurants, bars, and event venues in the Dutch capital.

Heineken’s choice of CTPark Amsterdam City reflects the growing trend to maximize the efficiency and sustainability of last-mile distribution.

Strategically located on the outskirts of Amsterdam, CTPark Amsterdam City offers a central location in one of the most densely populated areas in Europe. The park provides direct access to the city center (fifteen minutes by water) and the A10 ring road (five minutes) and sets a new standard in sustainability.

CTPark Amsterdam City facilitates emission-free logistics, contributing to the sustainability goals of its tenants and the Amsterdam municipality. The facility is designed to reduce transport movement and emissions by consolidating goods and (return) packages. With a BREEAM Excellent certification, an A+++++ energy label, and over 120,000 sqm of highly flexible space, CTPark Amsterdam City is suited to small, medium, and large companies.

In its commitment to a new sustainability standard, CTPark Amsterdam City is fully self-sufficient in energy management, with on-site green energy generated by a large 5.7 MWp solar installation, a battery for green energy storage, and a significant connection to the power grid. The park is designed for emission-free logistics with over 200 charging facilities for electric trucks and other forms of emission-free transport, along with the option to install chargers at every parking space and loading dock.

With its own quay, the building is ideally located for water transport into the city. This approach anticipates Amsterdam’s zero-emission zones, which, from 2025, will place additional restrictions on fossil-fueled vehicles to improve air quality in the city. There will also be increased weight restrictions on bridges and quays, and certain areas within the city center will become vehicle-free, enhancing the appeal of water transport.

CTP was advised in this transaction by INDUSTRIAL real estate partners.
