Schiphol, 27 October 2022 – Recently the construction works of AB InBevs’ City Distribution Hub in Amsterdam reached her highest level. After delivery in May 2023 Nabuurs Logistiek will start with their logistics activities for their client. The land for this development has been issued by SADC and the Municipality of Amsterdam.
Electric transport for beer brewer
The City Distribution Hub consists of 8.500 sqm warehouse space, 955 sqm office space and a mezzanine floor of 1.500 sqm. From out this location Nabuurs Logistiek will provide the Amsterdam catering industry with the beers of AB InBev by electric transport throughout the city. AB InBev is the biggest beer brewer worldwide, well known from their brands Bud Beer, Hertog-Jan, Corona, Jupiler, Leffe and Dommelsch.
Sustainable and Nature inclusive
Sustainability and green aspects of the development has been given great attention during the designing of the building. The CO2 neutral City Distribution Hub is fully nature inclusive. Strengthening of the local biodiversity has been taken into account. The full north façade is covered with indigenous trees and shrubs. Furthermore, the plot is for 20% unsurfaced green terrain and the roof will be filled with both solar panels and partially sedum. Het nieuwe stadsdistributiecentrum krijgt het BREEAM label ‘very good’.
